Create Linked Open Spaces

To maintain the integrity of natural systems, including watersheds and habitat corridors, open spaces of different kinds must be connected to each other as much as possible. While it is important to protect individual open spaces, much more ecological value can be created by linking open spaces. This can often be accomplished during site plan review. Linked open spaces also create amenity for residents in the form of greenways.
